Our Story

“You actually grew up there? What was that like?” Anyone from the Coachella Valley is more than familiar with this question. The Coachella Valley wasn’t just where we lived – it’s a space within a collection of spaces that made us who we are.

Growing up here meant learning what it feels like when time moves differently. That magic is found within the quiet moments – lying in truck beds watching meteor showers, hosting bonfires in the sand dunes, sneaking into pools with the best views of the valley, and upon seeing the windmills knowing we were almost home.

These weren’t just memories. They were lessons in what we now understand and appreciate as slowness and connection. While the world continues to speed up around us, we’ll never lose our Desert Kid wonder to dream and believe in what’s possible.

The same awareness that found magic in desert spaces now creates a third space at Desert Kid Coffee. This is our way of saying: this place made us, and we're not done being made by it.
